Did you hear in One of the Carolina's on Christmas day it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit?

u know that it was like 70 degrees in florida, key west a few days ago

ii bet there were a bunch of other crazy place like that buuuuuuuuuutttttttttt....

I'll have a blue Christmas without you; (being swallowed up by waves)
I'll be so blue thinking about you. (house engulfed)
Decorations of red (got nothing.... ooo BLOOD!)
On a green Christmas tree (nothing here)
Won't mean a thing if ( nudge nudge wink wink)
You're not here with me (aww she drowned!)

I'll have a blue Christmas, that's certain; (in the waves)
And when that blue heartache starts hurting, (more like the waves coming higher...)
You'll be doing all right (in heaven)
With your Christmas of white, (again i say heaven!)
But I'll have a blue, blue Christmas (again; in the waves)
[ Blue Christmas Lyrics on ]

yes, i have nothing better to do than turn that song into a global warming song...

Gotta Fly!

be safe.

I know this has nothing to do with Global awerness and all, but be safe this new years!

If you've had a few drink please don't try to drive home, stay where you are, or call someone who isn't under the influence!

please for yourself, and the other's lives who you are putting at risk. Don't drive drunk.

Cleaning Aisle

Duuuude. I was in the grocery store for some buttermilk earlier tonight and I walked down the cleaning aisle and it HIT ME like BAM! The aisle was LONG and the shelves where STOCK FULL of all these chemicals. And I thoguht to myself. HOLY FREAKING CRAP. ALl of this will eventually be used and not only is at all chemicals...its all in heavy duty plastic and all of it is going to end up in a land fill and odwn the drain into sewage drains and crap.

It made me absolutely sick! Don't really know what one can do to stop it but...I don't know. It just doesn't seem all.

Okay, so one of the things that are hard to decompose naturally are ink cartridges... and uhh.... you can recycle them at best buy as i have said before and now YOU CAN MAKE IT LAST LONGER WITH

It has holes in it so when you print it looks solid but it really isn't. it's actually really cool. just click on the link above (ecofont) and click on English. it also shows what the letters actually look like.
NOW think about how many things you have to type, for school work, whatever, now if you were to use the ECOFONT it would make your ink cartridges last longer

Love you Echo

Hello I just wanted to tell everyone who is new here Hi and Welcome. (Basically people who I haven't had a chance to say Hi to yet because I 've been real busy)

So Hello. Wish I had more to say but I'm at a loss.

First Post For Me!!!!!

Hey guys I've read through alot of the posts on this blog, but one has reminded me of something that could help.......A band called the Standards is helping reach out to those who are abused.

My cuz has a friend who is abused alot......She has an ex-boyfriend who is abused which is worse for him, because like me, he has diabetes......It hurts alot to have the disease, but I can't imagin

being abused as well.........That scares me.......Anyway........My mind went blank........Stop abuse!!!Give peace!!!!!!!

The Effect of Global Warming and Prevention of It

so lets be hypothetical here. lets just pretend that everyone hates cars and polluting factories and doesn't use them. that would go alright for a few days. it would stop some pollution. five days in, a volcano erupts. boom there goes more pollution than the humans make times 2.

in other words global warming is going to happen by natural means including natural pollution
its happened before and it can happen again

dont get mad at me that this post s**ks
its actually random that im even here

The Cape Wind Project

BOSTON (Reuters) - A plan to build the United States' first offshore wind farm took another step forward on Tuesday, after the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection has approved its proposed undersea cables to transmit power to the mainland.
The Cape Wind project, which would place 130 turbines about 4.7 miles off upscale Cape Cod, would provide "greater public benefit than detriment," the state review found.
The proposed wind farm, opposed by beachfront homeowners who complain the 247-foot (75-meter) towers would spoil their views, would provide enough power for about 400,000 homes.
Developers of the $1 billion project are still waiting on a composite state and local permit, as well as federal approvals by the U.S. Coast Guard, Department of the Interior and the Federal Aviation Administration, said Mark Rogers, a spokesman for privately held Cape Wind Associates LLC.
Rogers said Cape Wind expects the permitting process to be complete by March.

I found this article online and I found it interesting to see that this kind of safe, clean, renewable kind of energy was becoming a very real and possible alternative.

Seal Hunting

i got this as a email from one of my friends

How would you like it to be whacked hard over the head as a 'sport'?

Norway and Canada have a new kind of tourism. Killing baby seals. They call it a 'sport'..
You want to call this a sport ?

Is he a sportsman?

You're our only hope !!!

This barbarism shouldnt be possible in our society...
Dont turn your back on us, we are defenseless!
I know these images seem painful for you, but we feel the pain. We are being slaughtered and its going on RIGHT NOW...
What gives him the right to kill us? Who is he to decide about life and death?

What kind of sport is this? I didnt harm anyone.
Please help me and my friends...
You cant just ignore these images.. Keeping silent and doing nothing makes you guilty...

Please help us
Please dont leave us alone...
Bring these murderers to the attentionof world leaders.Thank you!!!!

Alternative Fuel Cars

"There's so much pollution in the air now that if it weren't for our lungs there'd be no place to put it all.” -Robert Orben

Hey guys... Cruz here! my topic today Cars... and yes I know, ironic ,given my EXPERT driving skills lol :p.... so most of know about electric or hybrid cars but heres a few others you might not know about

Solar-powered cars use solar panels that convert sunlight into electricity

Water-powered cars use electrolysis to split hydrogen-oxygen to make a gas that runs the internal combustible engine

Air-powered cars use heated compressed air to power the engine ( and they can "fill-up" at any standard air pump)

Sidenote: Mexico has pre-ordered 40,000 of the air-powered cars to replace taxis in the already polluted capitol Mexico City.... why hasn't the US done anything like this?
Merry Early Christmas!!! *^.^* Cruz

I have a question

Tis has NOTHING to do with the blog, but this is the most popular blog im involved in

What is it with this new tagging thing? Who made it up? Can you tell me info on it that I dont know?

Hawaiin Monk Seals

Due to the global warming crisis that has been going on through the 70's till now, many marine species are becoming endangered, and even extinct. Hawaiin Monk Seals are now an endagered species of seals that live *gasp* by the hawaiin islands. There are only a round about estimate of 1,200 left. Now you may think, wow, that's quite a few. But it's not. At all. compare that to the number of human being on this earth. hmm.

6.8 billion people vs. 1,200 seals.
do you see the damage that we are causing as people? As monsters? This is the animal's planet. Not ours. Respect them. Recycle. Carpool. Go organic. Be proactive. We can make a difference.

how does this fit in?

Even though this isn't green it makes me cry.

child abuse?STOP IT!

this is a clip on youtube watch it

I dont care if this isn't green! STOP CHILD ABUSE!

I found this on dark horizons blog

"Stop it Dan!" she cried.

Rushing to the side of her child,

pulling a drunk husband off of his step-child.

"Goddam kid spilled his milk!" He shouted at her.

and plunges his hand back down.

"STOP!" desperatly grabbing at his shirt she sobbed.

and as she manages to get him off,

it's already too late.

The child lays unconsious on the linolium floor,

and there are tear streaks on his face.

and his shirt,

his shirt is soaked with milk.

"It shouldn't hurt to be a child."

stop child abuse. If you see child abuse tell somone. Not saying anything is as bad as doing it.

Nathaniel's first post on the seal hunt.

I'm guessing that you think I'm about to pull out some seal pup pictures and yell about how cuddlywuddly the seal pup is, and how it shouldn't be hunted because of it's cuteness. Yeah freaking right. I'm here to inform all of ye animal activists that the seal hunt is not a bad thing. But first, who am I?

Well, I'm your friendly neighborhood Nathaniel, of the genus Homo, and the species sapien. That's right, I'm a human like you. I'm all for the saving of the earth, but some people are a little too nit picky, and/or, doesn't look beyond the bundle of cuddly fur. Other than this, like it says in my profile, I wrestle bears and fight off rhinos with my laser gun. My mark on the enviro quiz was Wolf paw, which I'm proud of, because wolves are awesome, and that werewolves are better than vampires.

Back to the rantary. Well for one thing, the little fuzzball used in protests is actually illegal to hunt, so don't try and pull that crap. And another image used to try and stop the seal hunt is the hackapick. Which is much like a club. Now your thinking "GASP! They club those innocent things!" Yes, yes we do. But, in reality, when beaten with the club, they feel almost no pain, and die instantly, instead of having to shoot them, and wait for them to slowly bleed to death. So that aside, which seems more humane? And you know what? The choice that causes less pain is actually banned now. Yeah, so much for loving the animals. Also, those seal pups are vicious, not quite so cuddly, and once again, you can't hunt them anyways, but it wouldn't help protests if they had to use the blubbery grey blob.

Now on the front of why it must be continued. Well, you may not know it, but this is a vital source of revenue for my province, and home. Many many families make their living through the seal hunt, and if it was shut down, and made illegal, then all these people would need to start over, and it would cause a lot of pain for them, and would most likely scrap any future plans.

And if your still all for no seal hunt, consider this. The seal population is not bad at all. They are a thriving species despite the seal hunt. So we can't make them extinct at this rate by continuing the seal hunt, but if we don't hunt them, then they will over populate. And when they over populate the demand for their food is high, thus, they over hunt the fish, and the already damaged fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador will become even worse, possibly killing off almost every fish in the area. The province is also highly dependant on the fishery, so even more jobs will be lost, and hopes crushed, not just the fishermen, but all of the people working in the fish processing plants will lose their jobs and income, making the all of the people there move away, and it could kill the province entirely. Which is a terrible thing. But not only the people will suffer the entire eco-systeme suffers. Other species also dependant on the fish will die out as well.

In other words, to keep the world in balance, we need to continue the seal hunt. And though we're clubbing seals, we're saving the world at the same time.

The purpose of this post? To make people look beyond certain aspects of the world, not just in the green areas, but everywhere in life. Also, go save some endangered species, and leave the thriving ones alone. Seriously, whoever came up with the idea to go protest the seal hunt is an idiot.

Speaking of Ze Animals

Why i don't like Bush..... the idiot

if you can't tell click on the idiot to see what i am talking about..... THE GUY IS SUCH A FREAKIN IDIOT!!!!
ps. If you would like to join the blog as an author, like Cruz did, just leave your e-mail address and when i read your comment i will add you on.

Save Ze Animals!!

I'm one of the new authors to this blog, I'm Cruz, and I know most of you so I'm just going to jump right into my topic...

Most of us know several ways that pollution can effect animal life. We (as a planet full of people) needlessly and carelessly keep killing innocent animals. We're polluting their water sources (and our own, but conveniently enough we clean our water) with trash and debris. We are poisoning their food supply with chemical waste and toxins. Relating to Sonar's last post, there was this rare type of iguana that had two-thirds of it's population wiped out by ONE oil spill!! Just one! The oil contaminated the algae they feed on and their digestive systems couldn't handle it. I think it was by the Galapagos Islands. We also drive animals out of their natural habitat for the purpose of "development" and "expansion". Seriously, do we need ANOTHER McDonald's or Starbucks? I have like 2 within 5 minute drive from my house and they're building another one not far away. It's ridiculous. Then they wonder why they have all these animals in urban areas, maybe it's because those animals aren't invading our areas, we're invading THEIRS!

OH! but the most despicable story I've heard was about gorillas in the Virunga National Wildlife Reserve. They were killed EXECUTION-STYLE by soldiers! Yeah, that's right these gorillas were just living in peace in a national park. This national park happen to be the sight of a three-way war, so one of the sides decided to try to sabotage the other side by killing I think it was 7 gorillas. The national park is their source of revenue with tourists, so these gorillas were accustomed to being around people so they didn't shy away when the soldiers came to kill them. I'll find the link to the story. National Geographic.

So what can WE do to help? We can look at the disturbing picture, we can read the research articles, we can admit there's a problem (unlike most gov't officials!) and face it head on. So that when we're old enough (most of us are young) we can elect people into the government that share our views, so we won't fall for false words, or fake promises of elected officials. We'll know the truth, we'll know the real problem, and we can choose people who are WILLING to make a difference. So for now we keep educating ourselves, keep doing the individual things in our home or school to GO GREEN (or GO RAINBOW!), so we can make a better future for ourselves, our animal friends, our entire planet.

Here are some post topics, comment if you want to discuss any of these, or comment any ideas you might have and I'll try to make posts about them...
- Cars (water powered, air-powered, and solar powered technology)
- Natural Disasters (caused by global warming)
- Tips to GO GREEN in your home at no cost to you or your folks
- Common ways to reuse things
- Effects of pollution on endangered animals
- Current Legislation about Environmental Issues
- What other countries are doing about the Environment
- Alternate Energy Sources ( I know Sonar covered this in his Waves post, but it was really good and I was thinking about breaking it down to individual types)

Or any other ideas... okay I'm done talking now... no WAIT if you're from one of my other blogs, go click follower World Saver thingy PLEASE! BECOME A WORLD SAVER!!!

TV's and stuff

Um...I don't really know what's going on with this but apparently in February, lots of people's TV's won't work unless they have a newer one or a different cable (something like that) and this just got me thinking...with all of this new crap being invented...where does the old stuff go. I mean, phones, iPods, gaming systems, TV's, DVD's, washers, dryers, computers, cars blah blah blah. I mean it's a waste of time. It's a waste of energy, It's a waste of material and it's a waste of money. Not to mention most of the OLD stuff gets put in a friggen land fill. (I mean, don't get me wrong it's different if the thing breaks) but with all this new stuff, we can't keep up and we spend our time and money on things that we already have...only "new and improved".

This post sounds a little scatter brained but I don't have the energy to sit and make it any clearer. Why is it that no one is ever really happy unless they have the newest thing? I am perfectly fine with my GameCube...and Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance and my oldish nano and my crappy upgrade of a cell phone and the big gigantic TV that's in my living room and my little DVD collection. I am perfectly FINE.

It just makes me mad though...this whole DVD/Blue Ray crap. I have spent years buying DVD's and my collection has grown significatly...but I don't want to suddenly need to change the TYPE of DISC (they look the same to me!) just for some stupid whatever.

IT'S SOOOO FRIGGIN STUPID!!! STUPID I SAY!.....I will never understand people....

Responding to comments in previous post

I know using the plastic bags seems like a waste, which is why I suggest USING them instead of WASTING them, but think about it. The food drive is good idea and if you contribute to it then you are uing the bags AND helping someone. Getting two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Oh and...

We're fags? Why THANK YOU!

(Takes one to know one, though, keep that in mimd)

Seriously though, if you think that we are fags because we would like to actually do something to help others/environment then I believe that YOU are the fag.
I also do not like the term fag. Therefore, you are an idiot. Get your gigantic head out of your butt and stop wasting your time, and mine/ours, by leaving retarded comments.

Anyway,my apologies for the crudeness. I needed to say that.

Plastic Bags

I went to take Holly (my dog) outside and there was a plastic bag on my door.
You know, for the canned food drive thingamabob? Yeah...well here's my advice. If you get one of these (or see them flying around...) put the canned food in them or use them for something. Don't let them float around. If you actually put the cannedfood in them, the people will come pick them up and the bag won't blow away. AND you will be helping someone. Woot!

(This post sounded really scatter brained, but it at least makes a little sense)

We need some new posts here!

Ok, enough with the joking around.

One way to be nicer to the earth is walking. Although not quite as convenient as driving, is healthier in more ways than one. Did you know that we are the only nation where the fattest people are the poorest?? Yeah, well, it's true. I think that people should start walking and riding their bikes more. It is good exercise and cleaner for the environment...but make sure you have water...and you know a safe path to get to where you are going because when you are on a road with no sidewalk because you are stuck without a car because you can't afford one (or drive) and the speed limit is 25 mph but people go 45mph on the darn winding road and nearly hit you because they come within two feet of you and you know that you are surely going to die *gasps* then that could be a problem and very nerve wracking...but good way you stay fit...and don't litter as you are walking...

One of Crab and Gemini's friends said that she gained more weight when she started driving because she stopped walking everywhere...

Yes, but be careful and watch where you are going and don't almost get flattened by trucks, vans, Volvos or little red cars that drive by so fast you can't tell what they are...and school buses...

PS. HOWEVER If you happen to be driving a van and you try and park, make sure you put the car in park so you don't start rolling backwards...(this goes for any car...)

Also, here's an idea, whenever you see trash on the ground pick it up and throw it away. These little things effect our environment in a big way too (understandable if you aren't quite sure what is was...but still, attempting is good.)

Try this: Even if it is cold, go outside this weekend and take a walk (with a garbage bag OR if you want to be real cool, take a grocery bag that you have lying around and while on your little walking spree, pick up some trash that you see on the side of the road or what not.I saw a bunch of crap while walking home and it made me sick...literally and figuratively (it smelled really nasty)

And don't care what other people think if they see you doing something like this. The worst thing they could possibly do is call you at tree hugger.

WE want to LIVE
WE need to stand up and take responsibility because we are the ones who have to live with it.

FWD: That I recieved

No matter how much we drill for oil, at some point, the well will run dry.

America needs a new national energy policy. One that will spur renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, and other clean energy sources. This will create, in turn, a vibrant energy economy that will fight global warming, create millions of jobs, and offer lasting relief at the pump,

Unfortunately, there are members of Congress who still think we can drill way out of our energy problems.

Please visit and tell Congress we need to look toward the future and not the past.

I don't know how many of you read the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, but the idea of magnetism is sort of brought up there. They have hoverboards that can fly only in the city. The city is built on top of a giant metal/magnet grid so that these things can work.

This is a good idea but remaking all the roads and such would cost A TON of money and we are already in a failing economy. Which brings me to my other point.

The US (our country) is so focused on war and our economy that no one is paying attention to out planet. I mean, HELLO why are we fighting each other over things that could be gone to us *snap* just like that. If we all start using solar power and such the demand for oil/gas would be really low and maybe we wouldn't really even need to use it anymore. (therefore the US would have independance...which we are apparently looking to achieve...I don't know)

In the long run, we would end up saving money (everyone would). Helping the environment takes time and energy, but without help we aren't going to be here.

Start paying attention to what you purchase and what it is encased in.
Recycle, reuse, etc etc, (repetitive I know)
Stop buying so much crap that you REALLY don't need. Seriously. Take pleasure in the little things. Remember? Think about it, when we die, no matter what you believe, your possessions are going to stay put and they certainly aren't coming with you. (I'm not saying that having things is bad, you know what I mean) Put more value in your friends and family...people and animals that you care about. Try not putting too much sentimental value on inanimate objects. (This also helps your character and not just the issue with resources blah blah blah)
Carpool..take buses. That bus is going to be going to it's destination whether you are driving or not. Why waste more fuel if you can just catch a ride with a friend or public transportation? (It can also be cheaper too)
I'm sure you all have heard of all these little things that can be done, but you know I might as well post them

Take shorter showers or take baths instead, that way you aren't letting gallons of water go down the drain.
Unplug electrical items that are not being used. Even if they are off they are still conducting electricity. UNPLUG them. (This can be difficult sometimes but there are also outlets you can buy that you can unplug everything at once.
I can't think of anything else really at the moment. I'm in a bit of a hurry.

I like to take baby steps but everyone should be involved and the little things DO actually matter. They help untangle the bigger problem for the people who can actually handle those big ideas we have.

I love Sonar<3

I have a great idea!!! Maybe we could use magnetism to make cars hover and flout with out gasoline!!! It would be a fawesome but there's a problem... I'm too young to be heard and I need someone older then me to give it to a scientist (not evil and mad and crazy and etc.) Anyway we the kids of the future need to make plans and ideas cause adults are going to kill us even before we can do a single thing so get out there and make plans for the future NOW!!! or forever hold you peace and let us die... yes it's sad to say it but we WILL die if we don't do something SOON!!!

Did any of you know we can actually use wave power?
i don't really know how it works, but the fluid motion of the sea water does something with a generator out in the ocean
AND fifteen miles off the coast of california winds blow long and hard enough to generate(hold on i gotta find the figures) ummmm..... well i wrote a research paper on this stuff and i think i am just going to put that up here it's a little long so please forgive me

Air pollution is the contamination of air by smoke and harmful gases, mainly oxides of Carbon, Sulfur, and Nitrogen (World Book Online). Ancient Civilizations struggled with all forms of pollution. Wood, smoke, dust, and tanneries polluted the air, while raw sewage flowed down the streets in Ancient Rome. Benjamin Franklin increased the public awareness of pollution. In 1905, Henry Antoine Des Voeux devised the term smog in London to begin showing concern about air pollution. In 1907,the Supreme Court limits sulfur and other harmful emissions by the Tennessee Copper Company. In 1970, the first Earth day is celebrated which starts an era of Environmental Awareness, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is created. Congress also passes an extension to the Clean Air Act, requiring the EPA to control amounts of Nitrogen, Sulfur Dioxide, and particulates in the air (Leading Issues Timeline).
The history of air pollution will help the world understand the causes of it. Transportation has played a big role in air pollution. Burning the fuels in cars releases harmful gases into the air such as carbon dioxide, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur, and others. These gases cause global warming, which is thermal pollution of the atmosphere. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) from old refrigerators, old aerosol cans, and some old air conditioning units destroy ozone. Ozone is an oxygen molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms (O3). CFCs break it down into two oxygen atoms (O2). Ozone reflects ultra violet and other radiation back into space so the earth is not cooked in a matter of seconds. Factories also release these harmful gases.
The harmful gases have effects on the entire world. The gases in the air mix with water, and they create acidic substances that break down the waxy coating on the leaves of plants. The waxy coating protects the plants from diseases, pests, drought, and frost. Plants and trees can equalize the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere as long as the number of burned trees equals the amount of those still standing (Socha). However, the world is burning much more than are standing, it is just disguised as fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are plants from millions of years ago that stored the CO2, then died and held it. Burning the fossil fuels releases the CO2 back into the atmosphere. Air Pollution also affects the circulatory system. Air pollution can thicken blood, which can lead to heart attacks and strokes. Catherine Zandonella says, “Levels of pollution commonly found in major U.S. cities can trigger sudden heart attacks, contribute to hardening of the arteries or atherosclerosis, induce abnormal heart rhythms, cause inflammation of heart tissue and even thicken the blood, according to a review of the topic in the June 1, 2004, issue of the journal Circulation. All of these effects can eventually lead to death from cardiovascular causes such as heart attack.” Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere cause global warming. Global Warming is actually air pollution, by warming up the air, causing thermal pollution. Thermal pollution is warming something up to make life change. Warmer air is melting the ice caps, which is going to change life.
The effects can be counteracted though. Since many of these are because of power, we could use alternate power sources. One possible solution is solar power. The U.S. could run on solely solar power if it used rooftops of apartment buildings, city buildings, and unused areas like the desert. “On a sunny winter morning, Reg Gage's electric meter is spinning backward--and that's good. It means the 36-rooftop solar panels are producing more electricity than his new five-bedroom house is using. The surplus electricity goes out to the "grid"--back to his utility, Pacific Gas & Electric Co.--and Gage gets a credit that lowers next month's bill,”(Ritter). With that much solar power, if a part of the country were dark, another could supply the energy needed for that specific area. It would take about ten thousand square miles of solar panels to provide enough electricity to power America (Parfit 2-31). Some people are also trying to better focus light on solar panels to collect more light. Other people are trying to create a better solar panel. The combination of the two could result in America completely switching to solar power. They are also considering putting solar power stations in space and “beaming” the energy down to earth. This technology was already attempted in Palau, a small island nation of about 20,000 people (Hanley).
Solar power is not the only solution wind power can be used. Wind power could be harnessed with wind towers. Wind towers could be put off the coast where winds are much stronger. “The winds blowing 15 miles or even farther off the U.S. coasts potentially could produce 900,000 megawatts of electricity, or roughly the same amount as nearly all the nation's existing power sources combined, according to Department of Energy estimates,” says Blumenthal. Wind energy is a clean energy source, the world could cut down on coal and oil power plants, and it could even cut back on nuclear power plants. There are more places than just California; they could be used as well.
They are planning on putting wave power generators on the offshore windmills. They would harness the power of the waves. They would use the wave power to supply energy to a machine that would make hydrogen through hydrolysis. Hydrolysis is a process in which hydrogen is separated from water through the use of an electrical current. The created hydrogen would be shipped back to mainland USA, which could then be used to power hydrogen cars.
These energies could be shipped around the country and it could turn America into a Green Nation. They could double energy output, putting coal power plants out of business. According to Ellen Hale, “The relentless winds that blow off the seas and across the British Isles rip umbrellas to shreds and tear trees up by the roots, but now people who live here are finding a silver lining in the gale forces: cheap, clean energy, and lots of it.” This could be a solution for America as well, like in The Windy City.
There are solutions that don’t replace power plants. Carbon Scrubbing is one of them. Carbon Scrubbing is the act of taking carbon out of the air. On the discovery planet show Project Earth, they discuss ways to do this, they build a machine that uses caustic soda to capture the CO2 and store it. The CO2 would then be frozen and they would turn the frozen CO2 into discs that would be put on “rockets” that would be dropped into the ocean to embed themselves into the seafloor below. The rockets consist of a weighted nose cone with a rod that the discs are put on, and then a tail fin is attached. This would remove the CO2 from the air and reduce global warming.

i know it's a lot of yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah.... and what not but there are some great ideas in it

ps. Cruz is right, we do need to get back to this kinda stuff!

Peace is just a wish it can never happen untill we kids get together!!!

What is today's date?
I have no sense of what day it is
I'm so possessed by something I'm hardly able to live

Just like yesterday
I'm lonely, walking around the shops at night,
With their fake smiles lined up,
And today, again, the earth is spinning...

I want everyone out there to join forces for the puzzle of the future
It's difficult, troublesome, testing us,
As we search for an undiscovered peace.
That's right, until the picture of the future is completed
We're getting desperate, going by trial and error...
We're living...

Today, again, the new morning
Passes by calmly, and within that time,
We reflect on the delight of being able to do what we want to.

As we're waiting for tomorrow
our pride only looks up.
But even so, today, same as ever,
The earth is spinning...

I want everyone out there to join forces for the puzzle of the future
It's difficult, troublesome, we're struggling,
As we seek an undiscovered peace
That's right, at the moment the picture of the future is completed
We'll be reminded, we'll imagine,
We'll be living.

Within our hands, we'll catch the Future
We'll go on our journey Together
We're living, wanting to feel happiness
Wanting to feel it together with you
We'll walk again starting tomorrow
The real days are slipping away from us
We'll fly out to a dazzling place
Yeah, we'll start from here on, BeforU

People are awkward things,
Things with a backside to their surfaces
Things that also find deep meaning even in stuff that's stupid...

I want everyone out there to join forces for the puzzle of the future
It's difficult, troublesome, testing us
As we search for an undiscovered peace.
That's right, until the picture of the future is completed
we're getting desperate, going by trial and error,
we're living...

Yeah, the wind feels so nice,
The sunlight is so radiant,
I want to take a breath
And hold my hands up high.

Because we want to look right at it,
Because we're going to try and find it,
Let's find Love & Peace

-These are lyrics from the Jpop song "Peace". The band is "BeForU" and they want the world to live and florish till 3000.

Okay... now i want everyone to answer this.

What is the most valuable thing in the world?

i will give my opinion later..

Give, don't take

One more thing about the grocery shopping...or ANY shopping for that matter.

Look at how much packaging is used. It so pathetic. With food, get healthier things. They are usually NOT encased in glass/plastic/cardboard etc box or whatever and they are healthier for you.

Reuse your bags, buy the reusable ones or recylce them in those bins they have.

Also, for you shopoholics: Use what you have and stop buying new crap that you never wear or use. This is a waste of time, money and resources and all it ends up doing in the long run is filling land fills.

Earth to humans: Worldy possesions are all most of us care about. Here's an idea. Go outside with some friends and take a hike or something natural and fun. It's fun, it's cheap and it leaves long lasting memories and it's a more valuable experience that going to the mall every weekend or whatnot. Not saying that it's a bad thing, I just think that people are obbsessed with products.

You all know what I am tlaking about.

Start giving more and taking less

Now.... that picture at the top of my blog will change every now and then to show all the animals eventually effected by pollution and bad things in the environment.... mainly the Human element..... cause most hybrids are created with a very large connection with the whether that was done on purpose or not i don't know, but most kids are too (young adults whatever) , and short people, i don't know about the last one but it is just something i noticed.... then again... most people are shorter than i so..... nevermind

ANYWAYS!! now the pic is a polar bear... athey are effected by global warming , which is caused by air pollution..... which is caused by stupid cars and power plants that on coal.... and yes, i blame the oil companies completely for global warming... storm blames me.... whatever..... so new energy ideas..... solar, wind, waves, hydrogen, water, OH and don't forget (this is not an energy idea) Carbon Scrubbing..... taking carbon out of the air using caustic soda..... it captures carbon and stores it, then you freeze the carbon, and send it to the bottom of the ocean.....
okay so i was watching the discovery channel cause i was sooooooooo bored..... Project Earth is the name of the show and you should all try to check it out.

wow..... that was only supposed to be like one sentence..... sorry

Good points

Just a thoughtYou know how all those new hybrid cars are supposed to be all enviromnetally friendly? Well, what;s happening to all your old cars? Most of them are ending up in the junkyard. I know some cars are being sold for scrap metal and such but my point is a lot of people waste so much for things that are so unnessesary.

I totally agree. At boston market I noticed that they put your food in those gigantic plastic plates with giant dome that cover them...even when your eating it THERE. Which means as soon as you finish your food you throw out a bunch of plastic that you didn't even really touch. Here's a thought. Start eating at home and buy things at the grocery store. Not only does it save money, it saves a bunch of our resources. And most brocery stores have reusable bags or places to recycle the plastic bags they give you. Everyone needs to grocery shop eventually, it's not that hard to recycle those little bags.Make a difference people!

Sonar Says:
Wow you two....those are really good points...and the plastic bags are actually ILLEGAL!!! in some other countries... or frowned upon in socitey because.... well..... THEY GET INTO EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Next time you get a target bag.... look on the side... it has like ten or so ideas to REUSE it...even reusing them helps.... cause then you use less..... thhen they don't go everywhere as soon.....
And yeah.... Echo is right..... we really do need to start shopping at grocery stores.... i mean come on people! is it really that hard to put a piece of chicken in a pan throw some salt a pepper onit then get the instant rice and have chicken and rice?! come on...there are so many easy things to do..... just go but it and ccok it....don't just buy it...... and the whole car thing..... just scrap your car don't give it to a junkyard...put it out by the road with a for sale sign..... if it's that bad put it out with a sign that says parts for sale! DON'T PUT IT IN THE JUNKYARD!!!!!!!

Thanks for listening.... now actually do it.

ps. thanks Jess and No Longer Loving People! your support is greatly appreciated!

So..... we need to stop all this pollution and all this bad stuff in the world right?
Some may ask why.... well i'm gonna tell y'all....

Save the polar bears
Save the rain forest
save the tigers
save the pandas
save all of the species of furry friends that radar has
AND MOST OF ALL!!!! Save the our life size penguins so they can eat whatever that girl's name is that always comes up in conversations on the bus ride home........ ( storm would get it...the rest of you probably won't)
