TV's and stuff

Um...I don't really know what's going on with this but apparently in February, lots of people's TV's won't work unless they have a newer one or a different cable (something like that) and this just got me thinking...with all of this new crap being invented...where does the old stuff go. I mean, phones, iPods, gaming systems, TV's, DVD's, washers, dryers, computers, cars blah blah blah. I mean it's a waste of time. It's a waste of energy, It's a waste of material and it's a waste of money. Not to mention most of the OLD stuff gets put in a friggen land fill. (I mean, don't get me wrong it's different if the thing breaks) but with all this new stuff, we can't keep up and we spend our time and money on things that we already have...only "new and improved".

This post sounds a little scatter brained but I don't have the energy to sit and make it any clearer. Why is it that no one is ever really happy unless they have the newest thing? I am perfectly fine with my GameCube...and Gameboy Color/Gameboy Advance and my oldish nano and my crappy upgrade of a cell phone and the big gigantic TV that's in my living room and my little DVD collection. I am perfectly FINE.

It just makes me mad though...this whole DVD/Blue Ray crap. I have spent years buying DVD's and my collection has grown significatly...but I don't want to suddenly need to change the TYPE of DISC (they look the same to me!) just for some stupid whatever.

IT'S SOOOO FRIGGIN STUPID!!! STUPID I SAY!.....I will never understand people....

Responding to comments in previous post

I know using the plastic bags seems like a waste, which is why I suggest USING them instead of WASTING them, but think about it. The food drive is good idea and if you contribute to it then you are uing the bags AND helping someone. Getting two birds with one stone, so to speak.

Oh and...

We're fags? Why THANK YOU!

(Takes one to know one, though, keep that in mimd)

Seriously though, if you think that we are fags because we would like to actually do something to help others/environment then I believe that YOU are the fag.
I also do not like the term fag. Therefore, you are an idiot. Get your gigantic head out of your butt and stop wasting your time, and mine/ours, by leaving retarded comments.

Anyway,my apologies for the crudeness. I needed to say that.

Plastic Bags

I went to take Holly (my dog) outside and there was a plastic bag on my door.
You know, for the canned food drive thingamabob? Yeah...well here's my advice. If you get one of these (or see them flying around...) put the canned food in them or use them for something. Don't let them float around. If you actually put the cannedfood in them, the people will come pick them up and the bag won't blow away. AND you will be helping someone. Woot!

(This post sounded really scatter brained, but it at least makes a little sense)

We need some new posts here!

Ok, enough with the joking around.

One way to be nicer to the earth is walking. Although not quite as convenient as driving, is healthier in more ways than one. Did you know that we are the only nation where the fattest people are the poorest?? Yeah, well, it's true. I think that people should start walking and riding their bikes more. It is good exercise and cleaner for the environment...but make sure you have water...and you know a safe path to get to where you are going because when you are on a road with no sidewalk because you are stuck without a car because you can't afford one (or drive) and the speed limit is 25 mph but people go 45mph on the darn winding road and nearly hit you because they come within two feet of you and you know that you are surely going to die *gasps* then that could be a problem and very nerve wracking...but good way you stay fit...and don't litter as you are walking...

One of Crab and Gemini's friends said that she gained more weight when she started driving because she stopped walking everywhere...

Yes, but be careful and watch where you are going and don't almost get flattened by trucks, vans, Volvos or little red cars that drive by so fast you can't tell what they are...and school buses...

PS. HOWEVER If you happen to be driving a van and you try and park, make sure you put the car in park so you don't start rolling backwards...(this goes for any car...)

Also, here's an idea, whenever you see trash on the ground pick it up and throw it away. These little things effect our environment in a big way too (understandable if you aren't quite sure what is was...but still, attempting is good.)

Try this: Even if it is cold, go outside this weekend and take a walk (with a garbage bag OR if you want to be real cool, take a grocery bag that you have lying around and while on your little walking spree, pick up some trash that you see on the side of the road or what not.I saw a bunch of crap while walking home and it made me sick...literally and figuratively (it smelled really nasty)

And don't care what other people think if they see you doing something like this. The worst thing they could possibly do is call you at tree hugger.

WE want to LIVE
WE need to stand up and take responsibility because we are the ones who have to live with it.

FWD: That I recieved

No matter how much we drill for oil, at some point, the well will run dry.

America needs a new national energy policy. One that will spur renewable energy technologies like solar, wind, and other clean energy sources. This will create, in turn, a vibrant energy economy that will fight global warming, create millions of jobs, and offer lasting relief at the pump,

Unfortunately, there are members of Congress who still think we can drill way out of our energy problems.

Please visit and tell Congress we need to look toward the future and not the past.
